Mumbai is also known as the city that never sleeps. In other cities, people come back home when the sun sets. But in Mumbai, people leave their houses when the sun sets. Its said the day starts in Mumbai at night.

Going on late night rides with friends on empty Mumbai roads is a special feeling in itself.

There are many amazing late night food joints open in Mumbai. Next time you are in the city and you decide to stay out late, do make it a point to try out these places.

Here is a collection of must try late night food joints of Mumbai:-

  • Sardar Pav Bhaji (Tardeo)

At South (Near Mumbai Central is a famous location called ‘Tardeo’ which has a great pav bhaji center opened till late night called ‘Sardar Pav bhaji’. Their pav bhaji’s are made with extra butter. So if you are on a diet or trying to lose weight, eat at your own risk!

  • Bademiya (Colaba)

There is hardly anything new that one can say about this iconic roadside eatery that is a part of Mumbai’s glorious history. A well known after hours location in south Mumbai, Bademiya serves both Veg and Non Veg Food items overnight. A wonderful experience of Paneer and a great late night non veg joint. It is usually open till 4 am. The food is finger-licking good and the waiters ensure you don’t have to step out of the car in the rain. The only problem is, (as one of the managers tell us), that because of the popularity, they run out of food pretty fast, so even if they do stay open till later, most items are over by 1 am. Boti kababs and tikka items are a must have here. Almost all of the non-veg dishes are great and really delicious.

  • Sigdi (Bandra)

While this place shuts at 1 am, it offers take-away food till 6 am! The rolls are absolutely drool-worthy! You can munch on several items here, without burning a hole in your pocket. This is one of my favorite places in Mumbai. It is a regular crashing place for most of my classmates who work late night shifts.

  • Amar Juice Centre (Vile Parle)

The pav-bhaaji at Amar Juice center is really famous. Apart from that, one can order pizzas and burgers, which are quite good too. This place is usually open till 2-3 am. A small place offering mouth watering delicacy, this place is a perfect example of ‘chota packet bada dhamaka’.

Located at CST (Crawford Market Location), an excellent food corner serves you all night famous for its Kababs. This hotel has a 24 hours coffee shop too. Zaffran is a very famous overnight joint in south Mumbai to enjoy with friends. The paneer tikka can be smoking hot on demand and is sure to wake up the sleepiest of souls. It’s heartening to see great vegetarian fare also on offer here.

  • Bachelor’s (Marine Drive)

A famous roadside ice-cream parlour, it offers no seating arrangements either. There will be waiters hovering around the designated parking area, helping you park your car and then shoving laminated menu cards in your faces before returning with your order within record time. Unless it happens to be a weekend of course, in which case, good luck finding that parking slot. It’s open till 2 am

  • Mini Punjab (Bandra)

Mini Punjab is one of Bandra’s most popular late night hot spots. Its another restaurant in Bandra that dutifully shuts shop at 1.30 but slyly continues to give out take-outs well into the night. Prices here are a little steep as compared to other places, though.
